Deruta, located in Umbria in central Italy, has been a center of maiolica production since the 15th century. This set exemplifies mid-20th-century artisanal Deruta craftsmanship: hand-painted botanical designs rendered in cobalt blue, scalloped edges, and traditional tin-glaze techniques passed down through generations of ceramicists. Each plate features distinct floral compositions reflecting the region's reverence for naturalism.
